Sharing My Journey About My HP Laptop & With HP Customer Services. This all started when my hard drive went out on my Dell laptop and I had to get it fixed but in the mean time I needed a laptop so I went to Wal-Mart and purchased an HP15-f233wm it was the only one at that time I could afford. Now here is where things kinda started going down a hill, the night I started using the laptop it started coming up with errors and this was after the computer completed all the installing of the updates and such. Now my thinking was why in the world would a BRAND NEW laptop be having all these when it had only been out of the box less that 3 hrs? Well, that night I knew this laptop would be a nightmare and I was right. This was when I contacted HP about this issue because the issue seems to be with the software.
I contacted HP through their chat and I allowed them to take over my laptop and they went through and said that they thought it was Google Chrome that didn’t install right well they went in and uninstalled the Google Chrome and reinstalled it and said that should fix the error issue. Well, guess what it didn’t fix that issue at all the next day I had to contact HP and they did the same thing once again and said the issue was fixed but guess what it wasn’t fixed, because after I went offline with HP the issue continued and I had to go back online with HP chat. From this point, I can only say I was pretty upset with the issue not being fixed and this error that kept popping up was extremely nerve racking. So, this time, I get asked would I be interested in an exchange for another laptop because this one seems to not be working like it’s supposed too. So you could only guess what my reply was, I asked was that possible and the lady said I will have a supervisor call you and he walk me through what I needed to do to be able to get a replacement laptop.
Well here is where it all get crazy for me this person from another country calls me and there is such a language barrier but this person goes on to tell me that they were not replacing the laptop and that there wasn’t an issue and that HP checks ALL computers before they leave the warehouse. So the issue didn’t get fixed so I got back online with HP and flat out told them I would NEVER buy their product again I have always been a Dell person those are great computer and the person was kind and assured me that they would have another supervisor call me and I really didn’t want to deal with anymore especially dealing with the last supervisor but I agreed and said I would try this one more time. I gave the information for the supervisor to call me and they said he would call me within- 24-48hrs before they would call me. So during this time the error issue wasn’t the only thing I was dealing with now it was a memory storage issue so I’m rolling my eyes at this point dreading speaking to HP supervisor just to tell them there is another issue now. I want to make something clear about this laptop I don’t store NOTHING at all on it I put all my stuck on jump drives so there shouldn’t be anything wrong with the memory on this computer. Well the supervisor called me with in the 24hrs and we talked and he said they wouldn’t be able to replace my laptop unless it was under the 30 days of the purchase and I would have to email a copy of the receipt. So I told him to let me get this to him and he said he would call me the next day to talk about what they could do.
So I got the call yesterday from the supervisor and he told me that being the laptop was purchased on July 07, 2016 that the 30 days was up. You can only imagine how upset I was at that point being stuck with a laptop that has issues and out of $300 So I decided that I was going to let him know that I have a blog and that I do product reviews about products and this one was at the top of my list to write about. And to my surprised he changed his mind and said I will be glad to replace your laptop we will give you a $350 gift card to purchase another laptop or any other item you would like. I was shocked and the whole thing changed for the better and I was able to get the laptop that I wanted and in the color I wanted with more memory and bigger hard drive. HP is paying for the shipping charge to ship this laptop back to HP.
I must say I felt better about HP at that point but it took me saying I was going to write about my experience with this laptop and customer service to get anything fixed on my end. The laptop I’m getting will be HP Laptop- 17z
So I’m excited about getting the new laptop but it will take 3 weeks because they are made in China that is what HP told me. I just wanted to share my experience with everyone.
